Meet The Doctor

Dr. Levi J Young is an accomplished plastic surgeon in Leawood who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an artist in and out of the operating room, and his drawings and paintings can be found on the walls of his practice, Advanced Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Young’s creative eye has helped many of our Kansas City-area patients reach their cosmetic goals through facial plastic surgery, breast surgery, and body contouring.

In his spare time, Dr. Young enjoys playing soccer, drawing, painting, camping, skiing, and playing the piano.

Education & Experience

Dr. Young earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry with a pre-med emphasis at Park University in Parkville, Missouri, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. While there, he was a proud member of the soccer team where he was an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete and served as Captain of the team. After receiving his B.A. in 2001, he went on to study medicine at the University of Kansas.

In 2006, Dr. Young was awarded his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. He was named Best Student in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship and was Chairman of the K.U. Chapter of AMA-MSS.

Levi J. Young, M.D. did his residency and worked as a member of the Clinical Faculty in the Surgery Department of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He was also Assistant Clinical of Surgery at SABA University School of Medicine. Dr. Young is licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri.Dr. Levi J. Our plastic surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Accomplishments

Dr. Young is an active member of multiple plastic surgery organizations and has surgical privileges at many Leawood and Kansas City surgery centers, including Kansas City Ambulatory Surgery Center, Saint Luke’s South, and Overland Park Regional Surgery Center. He’s been published and given speeches on a variety of topics.
