Brow lift surgeries are performed outpatient, so you can go home and heal after your surgery. You’ll likely have some swelling and bruising that may worsen 1-2 days after your forehead lift. Ice packs on the area and elevating your head for the first few days may help. Dr. Young will review your post-operative instructions so you know what to expect during recovery.
You’ll have several appointments throughout this process, from the consultation to a follow-up visit to check your healing. Scalp sutures are removed after about a week, and most bruising and swelling should dissipate within two weeks.
Forehead lifts can produce results for seven to ten years or more. Sun exposure, a poor diet, inadequate skincare, smoking, and excessive alcohol use will all work to undo your brow lift results. Conversely, proper skin care, including sunscreen use and a healthy lifestyle, may help your results last several years. Are There Risks to a Brow Lift Procedure?
Risks associated with a brow lift include general surgical risks such as infection and bleeding, along with adverse reactions to anesthesia or medications used during the procedure. Risks specific to brow lift surgery include unfavorable scaring, unpleasing or asymmetrical results, facial nerve injury, skin loss, and hair loss.

Does a Brow Lift Procedure Leave Scars?
